This grinding wheel is made of brown alumina (A), a particularly tough form of aluminium oxide. Its toughness is due to a 3% share of titanium oxide in the abrasive, which makes it an excellent choice for grinding high tensile strength materials, specifically steels, on bench grinders. With a medium grit of 46, it is ideal for general purpose grinding and sharpening, offering a good balance between material removal rate and surface finish.
